An organization near and dear to the Apartment Association of Tarrant County is the Union Gospel Mission of Fort Worth (UGM-TC). We’ve partnered with UGM-TC for over 20 years and during that time, we’ve witnessed incredible accomplishments from them. Our annual UGM Bowling Tournament is a direct fundraiser for an organization that not only strives to shelter and feed homeless people, but aims to rehabilitate people back into functioning members of society. We truly believe that every penny we give to UGM is multiplied by leaps and bounds and given back to the community with inspiration and compassion.
If this sounds like an organization you can get behind, then you’d be interested to know about UGM-TC’s upcoming Annual Rummage Sale, with one hundred percent of proceeds going towards providing new beginnings for men, women and children experiencing homelessness. Shoppers can expect to find 35,000 square feet of quality new and used furniture, home décor, and more at bargain prices.
The Annual Rummage Sale will take place May 3 through May 5. The goal of the sale is to clean out UGM-TC’s Donation Warehouse of the non-necessities and make room for new items. The main priority of the Donation Warehouse is to help individuals and families establish their new home after they have graduated from the UGM-TC program. They receive a “move out package” containing essential items such as furniture, pots and pans and cleaning supplies. Thanks to the in-kind donations UGM-TC receives they are able to set up nearly 30 households a month!
