The Texas Apartment Association’s board of directors are scheduled to meet during our state multi-family association’s annual winter meetings at the Omni Frisco on Wednesday February 7th through Friday February 9th. TAA member companies represent more than 2 million rental housing homes across the state of Texas. Four out of 10 Texans live in rental housing.
AATC plays a significant role in TAAs business agenda. Our Tarrant County delegation includes directors: Sherry Jordan (LumaCorp), Nicolle Block (AMLI), Paul Brown (Maintenance Supply HQ), Jim Canon (Milestone), Lani Grant (DayRise), Candy Maxey (Greystar), Char McCurdy (Madera), Michael Payne (Allmark), Dawn Waye (City Gate) and Laura Reese-Williams (ALN), as well as alternate-directors: Paul Beckingham (Pinnacle), Jackie Cagle (Rasa), Chris Lee (Earthworks), Cindi Scoggins (Westdale), Jodi Spurrell (Milestone) and Patti Thomas (Amalgamated).
TAAs winter meetings will focus a wide-assortment of initiatives including education, advocacy, leadership, membership, affordable housing, communications and technology as well as a series of new recommendations regarding its bylaws.
At the same time, our state association is busy marketing its annual education conference scheduled on April 25th through the 27th at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. Industry experts include Kate Good, Anne Grady, Bill Nye and Paul Rhodes as well as this year’s keynote speaker – former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. In addition, attendees will get to see the latest and greatest from more than 400 trade show exhibitors and enjoy a Rock the River kick-off party featuring Emerald City on San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk.
