The 2018 AATC-AAGD Business Exchange presented by Maintenance Supply HQ was a huge success! This year, 287 executives from 65 DFW multi-housing companies and 326 suppliers from 177 product/service companies conducted more than 4,300 one-on-one meetings. The Business Exchange is the premiere multi-housing networking event in the nation.
The Business Exchange is a fundraiser for the National Apartment Association Political Action Committee (NAAPAC). Due to owner/management commitment and supplier partner generosity, this year’s Business Exchange raised more than $146,000 for NAA PAC; a record amount!
These important resources allow AATC & AAGD us to support elected public leaders with an open-mind for rental-housing concerns.
We were honored to have longtime, industry friend Congressman Pete Sessions (R – TX 32) give a keynote address during lunch. Pete reminded us of the vital role our industry plays in the economic success of our country. Congressman Sessions is in a tough re-election campaign, and prior to Pete’s speech, a group of AATC & AAGD leaders met with him to discuss his campaign and presented him with an NAA PAC contribution on behalf of our members.
As always, we were privileged to have NAA Chairman of the Board (and my boss) Jeff Lowry, Madera Residential, attend along with past NAA Board chairs Ron Shelton with Amalgamated and Brad Williams with Lincoln Property Company. DFW continues to provide leadership for our industry on a national level.
Big thank you to Paul Brown and the Maintenance Supply HQ team for being our presenting sponsor. Also, thanks to MFI and Centex for sponsoring our photo booth. Special thanks to the Business Exchange Committee for all their hard work to make this event happen. The Business Exchange would not be possible without the support of NAA staff members Jim Wilson and Sheryl Eastman.
