First of all, a Big Congratulations to all Lone Star Award (LSA) Winners, and we hope you had an incredible time at the Texas Motor Speedway. We’re so proud of all of the nominees and thanks to our wonderful sponsors for a great event, especially MFI!!

So what has happened so far this year?…

We have a new President of the United States and many newly elected officials, we have a COVID-19 vaccine being rolled out across the country, and we still have thousands of apartment industry professionals working so hard to take care of our residents! We even have in-person (virtual is an option) TAA Winter Meetings February 3-5…in person…with people!
Now, what are we going to do the rest of the year?!…(shameless plugs for attendance to follow)

For starters, we have a very high-level education program moving along. Have you signed up your property for the STAR Program to attend 29 World-Class Programs for only $489? How about making education a focus for your team and getting them CAM, CAPS, CAS, CAMT certified? At Busboom Group, we require and invest in our team to be CAM and CAPS within 3 years of working for us, and they love it…ok, they like it…maybe…fine, they love it when it’s over!

We have our Spring Golf Tournament on Tuesday, April 6th at Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound, too…this supports the AATC PAC. I can tell people are excited to get back outside, as spots are selling out quickly. Let’s go golf!

The rest of the calendar is coming along very nicely. Your Committee Chairs and Executive Committee Members are working impressively hard to make incredible changes in 2021. When you see them, please give them thanks…they are holding out for double pay next year, but we have a budget to keep!

I do hope you are excited and plan on attending all of the events this year. You will definitely get out of it what you put into it!

See you soon!
