Each year, the Apartment Association of Tarrant County holds a slew of events and meetings designed to give our members ample opportunity to network and grow their business. Sometimes we add new events and other times we take some away. As our membership grows, so does our product and our product is providing the very best opportunities to advocate, educate, network, and inspire. 2018 will have no shortage of dates for you to attend and build your business relationships. Remember, you can always visit aatcnet.org for the most up-to-date information regarding upcoming events or meetings.

State of the Industry Luncheon – Jan 9

Our State of the Industry Luncheon is the best way for you to get in the know and build your business expectations for 2018. The panel of speakers at this event are industry experts and will provide you with the most current trends and data for you to build upon. It is your best chance to hear an economic forecast event and to share industry expert evaluations and predictions about what we might expect during the year to come.

UGM Charity Bowling Tournament – Feb 10

AATC hosts an annual bowling tournament each year, which raises thousands of dollars for Union Gospel Mission in Fort Worth. This tournament is not meant for the pros, but for the people to have a good time knowing that their time and efforts are going to a good cause. UGM has used our money to build new areas, purchase vehicles, maintain the grounds, and to landscape the facility. AATC members have been part of it all, and many volunteer their time at UGM throughout the year. You can visit aatcnet.org now to reserve your bowling lanes and silent auction baskets.

Maintenance Mania – Mar 1

Maintenance Mania® is a national program offered by NAA and presenting sponsor HD Supply (HDS), in which maintenance technicians compete against each other in various skill-based games. The event consists of several skill-based table games based on common maintenance activities and a race car competition. Participants build their race cars prior to the event, aiming to have the fastest and most creative car built out of maintenance supplies. All games are timed to determine the fastest competitor in each game and overall. This is the ultimate Maintenance staff event. Get your teams involved for an exciting night of food, fun, and excitement.

Spring Golf Tournament – Apr 3

Join us in April for our Annual Spring Fling Golf Tournament at Tierra Verde Golf Club in Arlington. We are changing things up this year with an 8am shotgun start. Keep an eye out for team registrations to open in early 2018. AATC golf tournaments are all about having fun on a beautiful golf course, networking with colleagues, and a commitment to multi-housing advocacy initiatives. Our golf tournaments are the principle fund-raisers for AATCs Political Action Committee; the primary source of our campaign contributions to local and state elected representatives as well as public issues important to the multi-housing industry.

Diva’s Cup – May 4

After waiting two long years for renovations to be complete, the golf course at Westdale Hills is ready to have us back for Diva’s Cup. You won’t want to miss our 10th Anniversary of this unique event! A day of absolute fun and mayhem, all designed to raise money for our Jonetta Vise Education Foundation.

Business Exchange – Aug 15

Whether you are a vendor or owner/manager, it is the premiere multifamily housing networking event in the nation. The event will be held at the Arlington Convention Center and begins at noon. Per usual, supplier registration opens July 1, 2018.

Lone Star Awards – Sep 28

Not only is it our annual AATC Installation, it’s an annual event where we recognize the best of the best in the industry. Each year, AATC reviews hundreds of nominees only to narrow it down to one. To be recognized as a Lone Star Award winner is truly an honor and a rare achievement held only by a select few over the years. Do you know someone worthy of such an award? Stay tuned for our nominations to open this summer and make sure to nominate all those who fit the bill. After all, it is an honor just to be recognized!

Top Golf Tournament – Oct 16 (Tentative)

Continuing our tradition of golf, but in a completely different format, is our annual Top Golf Tournament. We are excited to announce that we will once again be hosting a Top Golf Party in October of 2018. This is the ultimate networking event. Imagine all the people at a traditional golf tournament all condensed into one location with open access to chat with anyone you’d like? Oh, and you get to play Top Golf while you’re at it. You won’t want to miss this event.

2018 LEAD Conference – Nov 13

AATC’s third installment of the highly successful LEAD Leadership Conference will return in November. Per usual, the topics will line up with current and relevant trends to help you become the leader you were meant to be. Our industry is ever-change and LEAD conference is just one of many ways to stay in the know and be relevant.

2018 Trade Show – Nov 13

We are anticipating the 2018 Trade Show to be the largest Trade Show in the history of AATC. Not only are we adding more booths, we will be drawing the winner of the 1967 Camaro at the end of the show! That’s right, in additional to our normal $3,000 in cash prizes that we give away, a car will be given away as well. Stay tuned to our website as we get closer to the event to get the most up-to-date information on AATC’s largest event.

2018 Toys for Tots Toy Drive & Holiday Party

Last, but no least, is our yearly partnership with AAGD as we rollout our annual toy drive campaign. If you want to be truly inspired, then look no further than this event. Having $70,000 toys in the room directly in front of you is an experience to behold. Stay tuned for more details.
