It’s that time again! We invite you to nominate a worthy multifamily community or individual that you think represents the best-of-the-best in the industry. Whether it’s your boss or employee, or even a client, you can nominate a deserving candidate.
Here is a breakdown of the 2019 Lone Star Awards Categories:
LEASING CONSULTANT OF THE YEAR
Any individual whose primary responsibility is leasing apartment homes. Leasing consultants are also responsible for marketing, customer service, and assisting current residents with service request needs.
ASSISTANT MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Any individual who is responsible for assisting in collections, leasing, and/or daily community operations.
PROPERTY MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Any individual who directly manages and oversees the operations of one or more communities.
REGIONAL PROPERTY SUPERVISOR OF THE YEAR
A Regional Property Supervisor must supervise (not directly manage) three (3) or more communities.
SERVICE SUPPORT OF THE YEAR
This category is to recognize all maintenance support: Groundskeepers, Porters, Make-Ready Techs, Assistant Maintenance Techs, etc.
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR OF THE YEAR
Any individual who directly manages and oversees the maintenance operations of one or more communities. A Maintenance Supervisor is commonly referred to as a Lead Maintenance Technician.
REGIONAL MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR OF THE YEAR *NEW*
A Regional Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for traveling within a region to direct and oversee the physical assets, general, major, emergency and preventive maintenance repairs, construction or rehabilitation, capex and insurance related projects for the property. This individual assists with Due Diligence projects, oversees purchases, contracts, and provides strong leadership/training in coordinating resources to maximize the successful operations of properties within the region. Qualifying positions for this category include, but are not limited to: Regional Maintenance Manager, Regional Facilities Director, Construction Manager.
COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR
We combined previous Property of the Year and Community Team of the Year into a fresh category. All communities who have been open for business, with residents living on site, for twelve (12) months or more qualify for this category. There is no longer a requirement for how long team members have been at their current community. Four (4) total Community of the Year Awards will be given.
SENIOR COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR
The Senior Community of the Year requirements are the same as The Community of the Year, only communities deemed as Senior Housing are eligible to win this category.
