AATC Set to Deliver More Exceptional Curriculum in 2020!

The education committee has been busy since October, preparing a robust and incredibly exciting 2020 curriculum for all members.

This year we plan to deliver:

  • 12 Engaging Seminars focusing on maintenance and service teams, sales and operations, and leadership and mentoring
  • Three (3) Fair Housing courses from fair housing basics, maintenance/service teams, and how to remain compliant, and we are excited to kick off an advanced seminar complete with a mock trial with an attorney and judge!
  • Five (5) Basic Pool Operator Courses: three in English and two in Spanish
  • And let’s not forget our ever-popular Power Hours where this year we’ll focus on marketing and service teams

Let’s Talk Credential Programs for 2020:

Credential Courses kick off on February 4th with the CAMT (certified apartment maintenance technician) program. We are excited to have Paul Rhodes from NAAEI instruct this 8-day course. His passion for this program and intense focus on each participate sets the bar when it comes to this course. Registration is OPEN, and there is limited seating to 25.

You may have noticed NALP (national apartment leasing professional) has a new name and look: CALP – Certified Apartment Leasing Professional. We are excited to have Lissi Daniels, NALP, NAAEI Faculty, and Vice President of Training for Dayrise, lead this hands-on and empowering 3-day intense program set to kick off April 14th. Those who are new to sales and seasoned sales professionals will all leave this program with their arsenal full!

CAM (certified apartment manager) will kick off Tuesday, April 28th. We’re excited to have Lani Grant, CAM, CAPS, CAS, NAAEI Faculty, and Director of Business Development for Impact Floors, lead the entire 6-day learning schedule for this program. Lani not only instructs CAM for AATC, but she also teaches this program throughout the state of Texas. Her knowledge and guidance will set your teams up for success. Not only will Lani be instructing CAM, simultaneously, she is also teaching CAS (certified apartment supplier) to our vendor partners. The CAS program opens the minds and doors for our vendor partners so they can truly understand the day-to-day operations of our owner-managers.

Last but certainly not least, CAPS (certified apartment property supervisor) will return in the Fall. There will be multiple DFW Area instructors from prominent companies to lead students through 4 days of learning. More to come on dates and times!r

Redbook, Redbook, Redbook!

It’s that time, well year, for AATC to host a couple of Redbook Seminars—this is a must-attend seminar for anyone who works with the Texas Apartment Lease Contract(s). With the new laws that took place on September 1st, 2019, and January 1st, 2020, you must stay abreast of how these laws will affect your business operations.

Once again, The Redbook Seminars return to our favorite location, Arlington Highlands Studio Movie Grill, located in The Arlington Highlands at Matlock Rd and Interstate 20 on February 25th, and March 17th. Attorney Jennifer Owen will lead both days. You can sign up now to reserve your spot at AATCnet.org.

*Thank you to Texas Southwest Floors for being our 2020 Redbook Seminar(s) Sponsor!
