This is an announcement 50 years in the making, and there’s no better way to celebrate 50 Years of Awesome than by being able to announce such a significant milestone. In 1967, a small but ambitious group of multi-housing owners and managers set out to create an association invested in promoting our four basic pillars of customer service — Educate, Advocate, Network, and Inspire — to better provide and encourage the multi-housing industry members.
We’ve come a long way since the association’s first official business meeting at the Green Oaks Inn in January 1968. AATC has grown to include over 1,700 members who provide management and related services to support residents living in over 200,000 apartment homes spread throughout our 9-county region in north-central Texas. Not only that, we’ve also grown to become the 4th largest apartment association in the state of Texas and 12th nationally. We have become known throughout the state and across the nation as an industry leader, providing exceptional professional education curricula, effective advocacy initiatives, concise communications mediums, and unique business networking opportunities designed to support and encourage our members.
This accomplishment of reaching over 200,000 units not only serves as a marker of our marketplace reach but also represents the number of opportunities we have to further grow our region and even better understand the needs of our members to continue providing exceptional services and programs.
This 200,000-unit milestone is more than just bragging rights. This shows not only the growth of the Metroplex but also AATC’s growth as an effective and necessary tool in providing the best for our members and the multi-family industry. We always refer to AATC and its membership base as a family, and that’s as true now as it was when we first started back in 1967. We may have grown, but our values remain the same. Whether we serve 200,000 units or 2 million, we will continue to provide award-winning education curricula, exemplary public advocacy initiatives, effective communication media, and diverse networking forums – each designed to define our marketplace and better serve members like you. Our vision for the future is quite simple – inspire the marketplace we represent.
